Carling Cup 3rd round

I thought there was a surprising number of upsets in the Carling Cup - Brentford beat Everton, Burnley beating Bolton and most surprising of all Northampton beating Liverpool. An excellent match between Chelsea and Newcastle too.

The best result for me though, is West Ham beating Sunderland, can't wait to see who we get in the next round.

It was certainly a round full of surprises. Congrats to all the smaller teams that progressed to the next round, especially Northampton as they're the only League 2 team left in the competition. It was nice to see someone pick up a victory against Chelsea too.

Northampton are off to Ipswich in the 4th round, so good luck to them. Looks like there is a few possibilities for upsets like Birmingham - Brentford and Aston Villa - Burnley; we've got a month to wait and see though.
